ODYSSEY! is a rock opera written and conceived by Rob Lichter, with major help from Russ Lichter and Dave Simmons. It is a parody of the Arthur C. Clarke/Stanley Kubrick novel and screenplay of 2001: A Space Odyssey. We hope that if you love the film/book as much as we do, you'll really get a kick out of the album. Our other hope is that, even if you know nothing of "2001," you'll still enjoy it. We were audacious enough to ask some of our indie-rock heroes to appear on the album. We were thrilled when they all agreed and we pass the excitement on to you, the listener. We are proud to have Broadway Blotto, of the rock band Blotto; John S. Hall, of King Missile fame; James Kochalka, famous cartoonist and rock superstar, Tony Bevilacqua of The Distillers, and host of others. Click on CAST for a full run-down.
